About us
Hi, I'm James Worsley, the director and lead arboriculturist at JMW Arboriculture. Though I started my small business in 2020, the venture started long before then.
An obsession with the natural world prompted me to embark on a career in arboriculture in 2006. Later, my acquired passion and skills encouraged me to travel and benefit from experiences in Jersey CI and the east coast of Australia. However, it wasn't until I settled in lovely Devon that my passion for trees grew in a deeper sense. Inspiration from my new colleagues and this magical landscape fueled an affinity for knowledge in tree physiology.

I began studying alongside my new role as a junior arboriculturist in 2016. I went on to complete my studies up to degree level, which included the Level 4 and Level 6 Diplomas in Arboriculture.

Now I continue to add to my knowledge and use what I learn to feed into the principles at JMW. In our work we use industry best practice and guidance supported with recent scientific research and experiences.

At JMW we understand the benefits trees can confer, and we always seek to take a balanced approach to risk assessment.
